Sometimes you can’t see much beyond the enclosed garden that Silvia created on a rise behind her home. The surrounding landscape is dominated by tall pines…and mystery.
Her enchanting garden is a place to escape, a place of moods — happiness, reflection, playfulness.
Time moves slowly in Silvia’s garden. Maybe it doesn’t move at all. Silvia says time is what you make of it.
Is it Spanish moss? An old man’s beard? A thick cobweb? Silvia isn’t telling.
A cautious relationship has developed between the seated pair. They both gaze forward, avoiding direct eye contact. But they think about each other a lot. Will they eventually move closer? That’s up to Silvia. And she is a believer in the possible — and the impossible.
When the chill starts to bite outdoors, guests come inside and find other views of the garden.
